Deane Wright Holsey is the daughter of the late Reverend Lem and Marie Wright of Smithville, GA. She accepted Christ and was baptized at the age of 8, under the leadership of Reverend W. R. She is a proud grandparent of nine: Isaiah, K'mari, Mynasiah, Jacob, Jordyn, Jayla, Jaylee, Uriah, and Legacy and is better known to them as “Sugar Momma".

Deane was educated in the Lee County School System. Upon high school graduation in 1988, she enlisted in the United States Army Reserves. After a brief stay in the military, she attended Albany Technical College and Darton College and obtained a dual degree (Associate of Applied Science in Health and Radiologic Technology), and was employed for 3 years at Palmyra Medical Center. Later, she decided to pursue a career in education and obtained an Associate of Science in Middle Grades Education from Darton College, a Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southwestern State University, a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instructional Technology, and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University.

Deane has taught Kindergarten and First Grade and is currently employed as the Instructional Technology/Media Specialist at the Crisp County Learning Center. She has been employed by the Crisp County Board of Education for twenty-six years. She is a small business entrepreneur and Co-owner of WH&L, LLC  which previously did business as Sweet Sentiments with the Wright Touch in Desoto, GA. Minister Holsey also has been blessed to acquire a Master's degree in Theology, a Master's of Divinity, and a Doctor's of Ministry from the Southwest Georgia Theological Seminary.

She has been active in several community outreach programs which include the EMBC Nursing Home Ministry at the Cordele Rehabilitation Center, Donate Life America, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation of Southwest, GA, and Schwann's Ministry.  Deane along with her husband Johnnie also served as foster parents for 10 years in Lee and Crisp Counties to over 21 children of all ethnicities and genders.

Dr. Holsey has been faced with many challenges in life. However, she has learned through trials and tribulations that she is “Chosen to Conquer, and Destined to be delivered".She is an encourager to all she meets and shares that adversity can be overcome with Christ Jesus. Her motto shares that we are "Made 4 Service".  Dr. Holsey's vision is to inspire others to be servants of God. "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them". Ephesians 2:10.
